Kid-friendly places to eat in Hervey Bay

“Kid-friendly” can mean four different things: somewhere children can play, somewhere that serves a small meal, somewhere a pram can physically enter, or simply somewhere close to a park. Those are not interchangeable.

This guide records a feature only when it appears on the venue’s own website, official Facebook page or, for proximity, a current council source. Everything else says call ahead. No ratings or review quotes are used. Venue features and menu details were checked in July 2026.

Coffee where the kids can play

Hervey Bay RSL

The Hervey Bay RSL publishes Poppies Bistro and a children’s fun centre. Its current menu included under-14 kids meals at $12.90–$13.90 when checked. The venue-own source did not confirm high chairs, enclosed outdoor seating or pram access, so those remain call-ahead questions.

Ask whether the fun centre is open at the time you plan to eat, what ages it serves, whether bookings are required and how dining-room sightlines work. Do not treat an indoor play area as venue-provided supervision.

The Clubhouse Hervey Bay

The Clubhouse publishes an unsupervised indoor entertainment room visible from part of the bistro and an under-14 kids menu. Current listed kids meals were $12.90–$16.90. High chairs, pram access and enclosed seating were not confirmed on the source checked.

Tell the venue where you need to sit when booking; “visible from part of the bistro” is not a promise that every table has a line of sight.

Kondari Hotel

Kondari Hotel’s own site states that it has a kids area and promotes functions. The current indexed menu did not expose the requested kids-menu or high-chair facts in the research pass.

The lagoon and garden setting is not described here as a play area or enclosed boundary. Ask about seating, access, the current kids offer and how the kids area operates.

Mini Golf Hervey Bay

Mini Golf Hervey Bay is an activity venue with an 18-hole shaded course and private party area. It is not described as a free restaurant playground. Confirm the current café/food service before choosing it primarily as a meal stop.

Enzo’s on the Beach

Enzo’s publishes a current kids menu and beachfront setting. Council says the Scarness beach-access ramp is about 27 metres east of the café, creating the clearest verified link to Scarness Foreshore Park.

High chairs, enclosed outdoor seating and pram access were not confirmed on the venue source checked. The foreshore playground is public and separate from the café.

Bayaroma Cafe

Bayaroma publishes takeaway across the Esplanade in the park or on the beach and a current menu with kids sections. That makes it useful for a flexible quick lunch, but the café itself is not described as having an on-site play area.

Confirm high chairs and pram access. Also check the actual crossing rather than describing the park as directly connected.

Sea Breeze Cafe

Sea Breeze’s official Facebook content publishes high chairs, a kids menu/mini bites, outdoor seating, accessible toilets and a baby-changing facility. Enclosure of the outdoor area and exact playground distance were not confirmed.

This is the strongest published high-chair and baby-change evidence in the current food pass.

Maddigan’s Seafood

Maddigan’s is takeaway-led on the Torquay foreshore. Its own site publishes family packs and burgers but did not confirm a dedicated kids menu. High chairs, pram access and an on-site play area are call-ahead/not-applicable questions for a takeaway stop.
