Timezone: easiest all-in-one indoor shortlist
Timezone’s official Hervey Bay page lists more than 80 arcade games, laser tag, VR, a dedicated party room and party packages. That gives it the clearest all-in-one published party offer in this census.
Do not compare only the headline price. Check the number of games or attractions, party-room time, food, card credit, prize inclusions, guest minimum, age/height rules and whether an adult plays or only supervises. Stockland parking is described by the venue, but it is still worth planning where the group meets.
Game On: bowling-centred and straightforward
Game On is the source-backed ten-pin bowling option at 60–62 Boat Harbour Drive. The accessible official page does not expose a full current party price, guest rule or age breakdown.
Ask whether lanes are reserved together, how many bowlers share each lane, whether shoe hire and lane aids are included, how long the booking lasts, and whether food or cake space is available. Do not add arcade or laser-tag claims unless the current venue-owned page publishes them.
Mini Golf: good for mixed independence, but weather-dependent
Mini Golf Hervey Bay publishes an 18-hole shaded course, private party area and children/teen party packages. Its general prices checked July 2026 were $18 adults, $12 under 18 and $46 for a listed family ticket. The provider states a maximum of five players in normal groups and a minimum of ten children for its Par-Tee packages.
Those are current provider facts, not permanent prices. Confirm the selected package and whether food service is operating. The course is described as shaded, not fully enclosed, so ask what happens in rain.
Gymnastics parties: booked activity rather than free play
Wide Bay Gymnastics Club and Phoenix Gymnastics both advertise parties. Their regular programs span early years and school age, but the party age range, guest capacity, activity format and staff arrangements must be taken from the current party quote.
Ask:
- whether the whole group must fall within an age band;
- which gym areas/equipment are included;
- the active session length and separate food time;
- what adults must do during the session;
- footwear/clothing rules;
- capacity, deposit and cancellation terms.
The venue’s published supervision wording should be followed exactly. This site does not create ratios or safety claims.
Pool and water-based parties
Hervey Bay Aquatic Centre is a council facility with children’s programs, private lessons and published pool information. A pool visit is not automatically a packaged party. Contact the centre about current booking or group arrangements, entry fees, supervision rules and which pools are available.
WetSide is a free council water park with paid slides and seasonal operation. It can work as a meet-up rather than an exclusive venue, but public-space conditions, under-12 accompaniment rules, winter closure and paid-activity limits apply. Do not imply that a public table or open area is reserved unless council confirms a booking.
Cinema parties
A cinema plan can be simple for primary-age children, tweens and teens: a film plus food elsewhere. Use Bigscreen’s live booking system or the Boat Club Cinema’s current sessions. Check classification, start and finish time, seating, food policy and the number of tickets that can be booked together.
For the Boat Club Cinema, current club-entry conditions also matter. Special event tickets may sit outside the general price range.
Choose by age
Babies and toddlers
A high-stimulation package is not the only model. Consider a short hired space, a fenced playground gathering or an age-specific gymnastics party if the provider confirms it. Ask about pram access, high chairs, nappy-changing facilities and whether siblings can attend.
Primary age
Timezone, bowling, mini golf and gymnastics give the clearest activity-led choices. Let capacity, total cost and weather plan narrow them.
Tweens and teens
Offer two or three options and let the teen choose: laser tag/VR/arcades, bowling, mini golf or a film. The teen birthday guide adds water hire, fishing and creative ideas that may not be packaged as traditional parties.
